Seattle Charity Volunteer Group Visits Nursing Home to Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival
A Cultural Feast, Dazzling Opening
Flowers bloom, the moon is full, and families reunite. On September 27th, as the Mid-Autumn Festival approached, the Seattle Charity Volunteer Group visited Le Xu Nursing Home, bringing festive blessings and joy to the elderly through song, dance, traditional costumes, and folk music performances rich in Chinese cultural heritage. Amidst applause and laughter, warm feelings of nostalgia filled the air, making this Mid-Autumn Festival especially heartwarming.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is an important traditional Chinese holiday symbolizing reunion and longing. Overseas, this festive atmosphere becomes even more precious. The Seattle Charity Volunteer Group carefully prepared eight programs, including drum performances, dance, songs, cheongsam, and traditional costume shows. The performers dedicated themselves to showcasing the unique charm of Chinese traditional culture on stage.

Spreading Warmth, Sharing Reunion
The performance opened with a waist drum show. The powerful, resonant drumbeats instantly ignited the audience's enthusiasm, conveying the lively festive atmosphere. The Hanfu fashion show displayed the elegance and dignity of traditional Eastern clothing, perfectly embodying classical, subtle, graceful, and ethereal beauty—transporting the audience through time. As the flowing sleeves danced, they not only showcased the refinement of traditional attire but also allowed everyone to directly experience the beauty of Chinese etiquette.

The exotic Xinjiang ethnic dance featured performers with graceful postures, their fingertips moving like agile spirits, every rotation and leap filled with strength and beauty. The passionate and beautiful melody, with its cheerful and lively rhythm, won rounds of applause from the audience. The solo performance of "Gazing at the Moon" used soulful singing to express longing for loved ones on Mid-Autumn night.

The classical dance "Floating Years" brought ancient, lingering beauty, while the cheongsam show was like a flowing painting, perfectly blending ancient charm with modern elegance. The models, dressed in elegant cheongsams, exuded grace with every smile and glance, making the elegance of Chinese women shine brilliantly on stage.

The performance also included the classical dance "Ode to Plum Blossoms," with dance movements as poetic as paintings, expressing resilience and noble character. The finale, the horse-face skirt fashion show, ended the entire performance magnificently with traditional Chinese attire.

Passing on Love, Continuing Culture
Each program carried both the heritage of Chinese culture and the heartfelt wishes of the volunteers. The elderly smiled throughout, with continuous applause and laughter creating a warm and lively atmosphere. Through this charity performance, the Seattle Charity Volunteer Group not only brought Mid-Autumn warmth to the nursing home but also added luster to community cultural life. Love and reunion were given their most touching interpretation in this moment.

Mid-Autumn is not just a day when the moon is full—it's also a moment when hearts grow closer. This charity performance by the Seattle Charity Volunteer Group not only allowed the elderly to feel the warmth of home in a foreign land but also let the volunteers experience that "giving is the greatest reward."
